Collection: Digital Google Game: Deal Me In

In this self-checking activity, students answer questions as they receive instant feedback.  In the game “Deal Me In” students compete with each other as they test their luck along with their content skills.  Each correct response is rewarded with a random card from a standard fifty-four card deck (includes Jokers).  Each card is worth a set number of points based on it’s value.  The student with the most points at the end wins.  Students can compete in small groups, pairs, or as a whole class.

Students type their answer into the appropriate cell.  If correct, the student receives immediate feedback.

In contrast, when students answer incorrectly, their answer turns red to let them know they should go back and revise their answer or seek help from the instructor.  No cards are awarded for incorrect responses.

Have students scroll to the right to see the word bank.

STUDENTS AND TEACHERS DO NOT NEED PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF GOOGLE SHEETS TO ENJOY THE ACTIVITY.  HOWEVER, PLEASE BE SURE TO GIVE EACH STUDENT A COPY OF THE RESOURCE SO THEY DON'T ACCIDENTALLY EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL COPY.
